Our Headquarters based in White Plains is seeking a Junior Accountant.
In this role you will provide support to the Controller and Finance Supervisor in carrying out responsibilities of the Finance/Accounting department.
Responsibilities for the Role:
Post and reconcile bank transactions on a regular basis.
Assist in all phases of closing and reporting including preparation of journal entries, analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts, analysis of variances in income statement and balance sheet accounts.
Prepare and maintain accurate and detailed journal entries and workpapers.
Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, process, and procedures.
Prepare audit schedules for annual audit when needed.
Prepare sales and other tax returns.
Work on special projects and analysis when requested.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
Minimum of 0 – 2 years of corporate accounting experience is preferred.
Accountant should be focused, accurate, dedicated and detail oriented.
Individual must also possess excellent Excel and analytical skills.
Candidate must work well independently as well as follow instructions and processes.
Knowledge of accrual basis accounting and basic accounting concepts a must.

Wage Range: $50k- $70k annually and additional benefits.
