Job Description
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the financial health of the company, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to the achievement of financial objectives.
This role involves a combination of operational and strategic responsibilities, including financial reporting and analysis, process improvement and development.
Key Responsibilities
Daily recording of cash and other bank activity; preparation of billing, and other ad hoc projects as directed.
Preparation of all monthly standalone financial statements: Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Statement of Cash Flow
Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets schedules.
Prepare journal entries, analysis, and account reconciliations to meet month-end close deadlines.
Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements including elimination entries, and group monthly reporting package.
Performing monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analyses.
Assisting in the design and preparation of budgeting / forecasting and other key analytical reporting for review by management.
Assistance in any annual or governmental audits as requested.
Continual assessment of internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas.
Ensure financial statements adhere to US GAAP standards.
Qualifications
5-7 years’ experience with a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, with an MBA or CPA, but not required.
Solid understanding of ERP systems, including prior experience in integrations and/or implementations.
Advanced knowledge of Excel (pivots, macros, complex formulas, v-look-up, financial models, etc.
).
Excellent analytical capabilities and pragmatic problem-solving skills.
Track record of driving continuous improvement efforts.
Ability to work independently with minimal direction to achieve desired results.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Extremely organized with an ability to multi-task, manage time appropriately and work within tight deadlines.
Ability to work in a confidential manner due to access to information of a sensitive nature.
Demonstrated ability to support other departments within the company.
