A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM Facilitator
As an After School Program Facilitator in human services, you play an essential role in creating a warm, caring, and safe environment to support children in ways that improve the overall quality of the care and education they receive.
You ensure our after school program adheres to office and Children Family Services New York State School Age regulations.
To keep our program running smoothly, you create thematic units to be used in instructor lesson plans and implement in-service training agendas.
You also maintain daily attendance records for all enrolled students.
In addition, you keep accurate student files and emergency contact information as well as maintain appropriate activity supplies, snack orders, and recreational equipment.
As needed, you fill out incident report records and lead required staff meetings.
You launch fundraising efforts to support our program activities and follow site security procedures, ensuring the premises remain safe after hours.
You're a natural-born leader, and it brings you great fulfillment to use your expertise in elementary education to do important work!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM FACILITATOR
Associate degree in child development, elementary education, physical education, recreation, or a related credential
2+ years of experience working with children less than 13 years old
1+ years in a supervisory capacity in a child care program or related field of work
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
