Job Summary: In collaboration with physician/surgeons and other members of the neurosurgery clinical team, provide comprehensive surgical services and procedures; and coordinate health care for patients for a multispecialty practice.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the supervising physician/surgeon direction, manage all patient surgical care.
Assists physician/surgeon in hospital by making patient rounds, recording progress notes and discharge summaries, writing, and executing orders on surgical patients in hospital setting
Conducts in-office comprehensive patient assessments including medical history, physical examinations and establishes a clinical diagnosis
Consulting with physician/surgeon, diagnose patient condition, formulate a healthcare plan and provides treatment
Coordinate patient clinical care and ordering diagnostic tests; interprets and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physician/surgeon
Makes recommendations for other forms of treatments including referrals
Assist in the development, implementation and revision of nursing protocols and standards of care
Function as liaison between physician/surgeon and patient triaging patient/family problems and concerns i.

discussion of post-discharge care and education ensuring optimal patient outcomes
Create a positive practice impression and provide warm and responsive support to all patients, vendors, colleagues, etc.
Position Requirements:
Master of Science from accredited Nurse Practitioner program (Pediatrics, Family)
Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner
Current NP and RN licenses
Four(4) years of related surgical experience in a private surgical practice with a preference for neurosurgery, Otolaryngology, ENT and/or pediatrics
Professional nursing certifications in specialty area
Abide by HIPAA and any state and federal laws to remain complaint in accordance with practice policies and procedures
