Founded in 1983 and incorporated in 1993, The LOFT LGBTQ+ Community Center provides a safe gathering place for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and supportive communities of Westchester County and the Hudson Valley region.
The LOFT facilitates a wide range of educational, health, social service, and recreational programs and advocates for improved services for the LGBTQ+ community.
Our mission is to further the cause of inclusion, diversity, and pride through education, advocacy, and celebration.
Position Overview:
The LOFT is excited to welcome a dynamic and strategic Social Media & Creative Communications Associate to collaborate closely and report to the Director of Marketing and Creative Communications.
This role plays a crucial part in enhancing the visibility of our organization, engaging our community, and contributing to the creative initiatives that shape our brand narrative.
Key Responsibilities:
• Social Media Management: Develop and execute innovative and strategic social media campaigns across multiple platforms.
Engage with our community through compelling content, maintaining a consistent and authentic brand voice.
Monitor and analyze social media metrics to measure campaign success and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Newsletter Management: Lead the management of our weekly newsletter, curating content and ensuring timely delivery to subscribers.
Collaborate with internal teams to gather relevant information and updates for inclusion in the newsletter.
• Website Updates: Regularly update and maintain The LOFT's website, ensuring content accuracy and alignment with organizational goals.
Implement creative solutions to enhance the website's visual appeal and user experience.
• Content Creation: Contribute to the development of compelling written and visual content for online and offline materials.
Collaborate with the Director to ensure consistency in brand messaging across all channels.
• Online Presence: Manage and enhance The LOFT's online visibility through social media platforms, the website, and other digital channels.
Monitor and respond to community feedback and inquiries on social media platforms.
• Collateral Development: Assist in the creation, distribution, and maintenance of print and electronic collateral, including newsletters, brochures, and email blasts.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Director to align social media and creative communication strategies with overall marketing goals.
Collaborate with internal teams to gather content and insights for effective communication.
• Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and social media innovations.
Contribute creative ideas to enhance The LOFT's online presence and community engagement.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in Social Media management, communications, brand management, and creative marketing.
• Experience in photography/videography
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in digital marketing, social media platforms, and content creation.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
