Vernon, NY Hours: M-F 9-5 Salary: $62,400-$70,000 OVERVIEW OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Access Supports for Living Foundation seeks a coordinated, strategic individual with compelling presentation skills and astute broad-based development expertise who will be responsible for achieving assigned annual revenue goals through the generation of increased and new major gifts and the on-going cultivation of annual donors and supporters.
This role is responsible for building growth with a national network of individual and major donors through prospecting direct and online outreaches, events, and other stewardship activities in the lower Hudson Valley and NYC supporters.
The ideal candidate should have 3-5 + years of successful sales and or fundraising experience and unique interpersonal capabilities to assist in manage all aspects of organizational fundraising and donor development; produce and maintain annual campaign materials and data, coordinate special events in partnership with the Events and Advancement Director, Development Coordinator, committees, and volunteers, online fundraising, giving circles, and manage the grants program.
This role is responsible for expanding financial support through networking and building connections through diverse funding streams and relationships aligned with our mission.
Additionally, this role will bring forward emerging trends and best practices to grow donor base that result in financial impact.
Oversee foundation grant proposal development, writing, submission, reporting, and relationship building.
Key Lead and on ground support of fundraising events and support 3rd party events to grow Foundation through committed community partners.
Represent the organization at external events, professional conferences as needed.
Reporting to the Director of Development, work in close collaboration with larger Foundation team to ensure a coordinated and strategic approach to fundraising efforts/activities and relationship building for the Access Network.
This role is responsible for understanding the programs that are supported by the Foundation and build strong internal relationships through the Access Network.
Provide leadership and day-to-day team of in house staff as well as volunteers and/or interns to ensure proper stewardship or organization funds, and operational standards in accordance with governance, by-laws, and foundation processes.
In partnership with the Director of Development, assess needs to ensure strategies are aligned to meet budget and fundraising goals.
Additional Responsibilities include: Strategies and executes plans with the Director of Development and Executive Director of the Foundation Ensures systems are followed relating to all governance and financial outcomes.
Cultivate major gifts and report opportunities to Director of Development and EVP Foundation for support Execute annual Development plan and calendar Understand and documents outreaches and donor relations in Donor Relationship tool.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES: Ability to manage and lead Donor Development results for the Lower Hudson Valley and NYC while working with a diverse team to promote organizational initiatives that result in donor engagement that achieve our financial results.
Knowledge of mission-driven work and ability to connect people to the mission of the organization Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence others Ability to set and work within deadlines Ability to work well with a diverse group of people, staff, and vendors Comprehensive computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and other fundraising software programs) Ability to adhere to regulations and processes in a sales and or fundraising role preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced department Supervises and leadership of a team EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree Minimum 3-5+ years of experience and proven results of leading Sales and or Donor Relations in a not for profit environment preferred.

Physical Demands: Demonstrates physical and functional ability to perform full anatomical range of motion to accomplish tasks.
Evidence of visual and aural acuity and finger and hand dexterity to operate computer and office equipment.
Can withstand long periods of sitting, standing and/or constant walking.
Ability to lift 10 lbs.
